Rainy and Breezy Sunday

Sunday, April 19, 2015

Good afternoon! Rain will be widespread throughout the day associated with a warm front. Some embedded thunderstorms will also push through. The prime time for thunderstorms will be after 3 p.m. through about 9 p.m. Temperatures will get stuck in the mid 60s with the rain and clouds. Winds will also pick up around 15-20 mph out of the ESE during the afternoon. Rain tapers down later in the evening, but scattered showers will still persist into Monday.

A cold front will continue to bring scattered showers and a few storms on Monday, before drying out on Tuesday. It will stay windy for Monday and Tuesday. A stubborn low pressure system will sit just to the north of us and continue to swing little disturbances our way throughout the new week. Temperatures will fall short of average the rest of the week as a result, with highs will be in the mid 50s to near 60 and lows in the upper 30s and low 40s.
