Overnight Update From Scott Dimmich

11:00pm, Saturday, January 31, 2015

Rain showers overnight will occasionally mix with freezing rain, sleet, and snow; while frozen precipitation will be patchy overnight, it may create some slick roads - especially north and northeast of Cincinnati. The coverage of precipitation will drop overnight. After dropping into the low and mid 30s overnight, temperatures will rise into the low 40s Sunday with rain likely and snow mixing with rain late Sunday afternoon and into Sunday evening. A rain/snow mix Sunday evening will change to all snow late Sunday night as temperatures drop through the 20s and teens. Most in the Tri-State will see 1" or less of snowfall accumulation through Monday morning with 1"+ snowfall totals favored in Fayette, Union, and the northern half of Franklin, Clinton, Butler, and Warren County. After slow exits the Ohio Valley Monday, clouds will linger through the day. Filtered sunshine will return for Tuesday, but a disturbance bringing snow and rain showers will sweep through the region Wednesday. High temperatures will be below average most days in the week ahead. Meteorologist Josh Knight will update the snowfall accumulation forecast on Good Morning Cincinnati Sunday from 8 to 9am and from 11am to 12pm!
